Hockey Is Back!
A 22-year-old from Brooklyn, NY, Brendan first laced up the skates at the age of three. Since then, he has captained the only NY state champion from Brooklyn, as well as his collegiate club team at his alma mater, SUNY Cortland. Brendan now contributes to both The Hockey Writers and Puck Prose, covering the NHL and New York Rangers. He aspires to be a professional journalist and broadcaster, with hopes of growing ‘The Backcheck’ into a career.

A 22-year old from Long Island, NY, Stefen grew up playing ice and roller hockey. In high school, Stefen helped his Varsity team to an undefeated season and a County championship back in 2016. He went on to play club at SUNY Cortland, where he served as president for three seasons. Stefen covers the New York Islanders on Twitter, writing pieces on his hometown team, as well as other teams across the NHL for Puck Prose. He also holds a position with NYI Hockey Now, covering LIU Hockey. He is an aspiring sports journalist who continues to work towards a full-time hockey journalist position
